Present Tense was written in a time of realization. That someone can be such a big part of your life and then suddenly they aren’t. The moment you realize every time you speak about them that every word has a past connotation.
I think when it comes to writing songs it’s all about finding moments like these and freezing them in place, so that when someone is going through the same thing they can listen to the song and feel like it was written just for them when they are going through that phase in their life.
As We Go
Don't have a lot to your name but looking back you realize you have everything. This is exactly what As We Go represents. That period in your life when you were free of worry and just learning well... everything. Co-Produced with Russell Broom this song has uplifting guitar, a head bobbing beat and nostalgia.
